Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging and effective IELTS preparation courses to adult learners. This includes developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the IELTS exam format, providing individualized instruction and feedback, and creating a stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning and collaboration. You will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and tracking their performance. Furthermore, you will participate in regular faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum development initiatives.

You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to the institution's teaching standards and policies. This includes maintaining accurate student records, communicating effectively with students and parents, and participating in professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge of the IELTS exam. Creating a positive and supportive learning environment is crucial, ensuring all students feel comfortable and confident in their learning journey.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's  degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching IELTS preparation courses to adult learners.
• Proven track record of achieving high student pass rates in IELTS examinations (demonstrable through data or testimonials).
• Comprehensive understanding of the IELTS exam format, assessment criteria, and marking schemes for all four modules (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking).
• Excellent command of English (native-level fluency preferred).
• Experience developing and delivering engaging and effective IELTS preparation materials.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience teaching IELTS online using various platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
• Familiarity with different IELTS test strategies and techniques.
• Experience in providing individualised feedback and support to students.
• Proven ability to mentor and support other instructors.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment design for IELTS preparation.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in English language teaching.
• CELTA or Trinity TESOL certificate (or equivalent).

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with online learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas).
• Ability to utilize video conferencing software effectively for online instruction.
• Competence in using educational technology tools to enhance teaching and learning.
