Key Responsibilities

As our IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust security infrastructure. This includes developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards. You will perform regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and proactively mitigate risks. Furthermore, you will be involved in incident response, conducting thorough investigations, and implementing corrective actions to minimize the impact of security breaches. Collaboration with other IT teams and stakeholders is crucial to ensure seamless integration of security measures across the organization.

Your responsibilities will also encompass the management and monitoring of our security information and event management (SIEM) system, analyzing security logs and alerts to identify potential threats. You will be responsible for staying abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, recommending and implementing necessary security updates and patches. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, with a proven track record of success in implementing and managing security solutions.
• Expert knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies, including experience with common vulnerability scanning tools.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or similar.
• Experience with incident response and handling security breaches, including forensic analysis and remediation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
• Certification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar.
• Experience with data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS).
• Experience mentoring junior security professionals.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in using network monitoring and security tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Experience with various security technologies, including endpoint protection, data encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security configurations.
