Key Responsibilities

As a Junior UI/UX Designer, you will be involved in the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept and wireframing to prototyping and user testing. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with senior designers and developers to translate business requirements into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. You will create visual mockups, prototypes, and user flows, ensuring consistency with our brand guidelines and user experience best practices. You will also participate in user research activities, analyzing user feedback to inform design iterations and improvements.

You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of our design systems and processes, staying abreast of the latest design trends and technologies. This includes mastering design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, and effectively communicating your design rationale and decisions to stakeholders. Proactive problem-solving and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success in this role.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, including user research, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing.
• Proficiency in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using industry-standard tools (see Technical Requirements).
• Excellent visual communication skills, including typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Ability to translate complex information into simple, intuitive designs.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design projects, demonstrating problem-solving and creative thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present design ideas and receive constructive feedback.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with A/B testing and data analysis to optimize designs.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-platform compatibility.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Working knowledge of prototyping tools such as InVision or Adobe After Effects.
• Familiarity with design collaboration and version control tools (e.g., Abstract).
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred but not required).
