Key Responsibilities

As our Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for planning and executing all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments. This involves coordinating with suppliers, managing transportation, overseeing warehousing, and tracking inventory levels to ensure optimal stock control. You will also be responsible for negotiating rates with carriers, resolving logistical challenges, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Furthermore, you will maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration across the entire supply chain.

A key aspect of this role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and implementing them within our operations. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain management role.
• Proven experience in managing logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations and procedures.
• Proficiency in utilizing logistics software and systems for tracking and managing shipments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve logistical challenges efficiently.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement initiatives.
• Experience in negotiating contracts with carriers and vendors.
• Knowledge of various transportation modes (e.g., air, sea, rail, road).
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar certification.
• Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin).
• Experience with budgeting and cost control related to logistics operations.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) software (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management, SAP TM).
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) software (e.g., Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder).
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
