Security Guard - Job Specifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a security guard in a corporate or office environment.
• Valid state-issued security guard license and any required certifications.
• Proven ability to monitor security cameras and access control systems effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough building patrols and identifying potential security risks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with visitor management systems and software.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience working with diverse populations and maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with basic data entry procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
